Zhunyou (Jony) Hua earned his Bachelor of Science degree with honors in mathematics and economics from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Jony was awarded as Nanyang President Research Scholar for his statistical investigation of the effects of social and emotional factors on auction bidding strategies.
Driven by his passion in financial markets, Jony pursued a summer internship with Credit Suisse, where he collaborated with two team leads and analyzed massive data sets to improve the change request processing system, and created Excel macros to streamline the reporting process for senior management. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Jony had another internship with Soochow Securities, where he conducted intensive quantitative research on drivers of surging house prices in China.
Through the Financial Engineering program at Cornell, Jony hopes to solidify his quantitative skills and develop essential analytical skills in better understanding financial markets. Upon graduation, Jony aspires to contribute to the field of quantitative finance and pursue a career in risk management or trading and structuring.
In his spare time, Jony enjoys photography, hiking, basketball and poker.
