Zach Escalante is a graduate student at Cornell’s Operations Research department pursuing a master’s degree in Financial Engineering. He has completed Bachelor’s degrees in both Mathematics and Finance at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton Florida.

Zach previously worked at the fixed income broker dealer JVB Financial based in Boca Raton FL, where he held roles in dealer sales and as a junior trader for corporate bonds. Additionally, he has also assisted both the mortgage and the interest rates desk at the hedge fund III Associates (AVM LP).

The application of quantitative methods to finance has become a passion for Zach, who relishes the opportunity to compete in global financial markets using the skills he is developing through his coursework at Cornell. Upon graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in sales or trading, utilizing these disciplines to the advantage of the desk he will serve.
