Yi Liu graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Yi joined the engineering program at Cornell University in 2014, where he has polishing his technical skills in data mining, stochastic processes, and simulations in applied operations research.

Yi proofed his learning skills by passing five exams of Society of Actuaries, all during his leisure time. Yi interned at TaiKang Life Insurance in the summer of 2013. He was involved in an automation project with an eight-person team which required extensive usage of stimulations.

The professional experiences and academic education have cultivated Yi’s ability to work in teams and to translate challenging concepts into common language. His passion to solve complex problems is self-evident. After graduation, he plans to leverage these skills and interests in such areas as operations, consulting and data analysis.
