Yann Hicke completed his B.S. in Industrial Engineering at Mines Nancy, a leading French Engineering School. Upon graduation from Cornell in May 2015, he hopes to work in an energetic, growing company where he can participate in the innovation and marketing process.

Yann co-founded and directed the first TEDx event of the Lorraine region. He took care of the recruitment and management of a 30-person team, the logistical management of a 1000 person event and the management of a €40k budget. As part of the event direction, he also recruited and co-coached nine international speakers and managed the global communication strategy between the public, sponsors and politicians.

Concurrently, Yann developed a social entrepreneurship project acting against food wastage for which he pitched numerous times in different competitions.

Last summer, he worked as a Mergers & Acquisitions intern at Deloitte. He prospected potential buyers and targets in various sectors and participated in multiple Due Diligence tasks. This experience inspired him to gain deep insight into business development.

In his spare time Yann is actively pursuing a strong interest in acting. He took part in amateur plays in France, studied at the New York Film Academy and is now taking acting classes at Cornell.
