Xi Sun joined the Master of Engineering program at Cornell University with a concentration in Data Analytics in the fall of 2012. She holds a bachelor’s degree with double major in Applied Mathematics in Statistics and Finance from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Prior to pursuing this program, Xi had internships in several financial service sectors such as risk management, commercial bank and brokerage firm. She also did several projects about financial risk model and portfolio evaluation. Xi joined the ORIE MEng program to further combine her knowledge in finance with quantitative and computational skills to pursue a career in risk management, trading or financial consulting.

In her spare time, Xi enjoys playing poker, listening to classical music, reading and traveling.
