Smriti graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Science with a dual degree in Economics and Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining Cornell University in 2014, she worked for three years at the Wells Fargo India office in their customer deposits and technology line of business, establishing process efficiencies for support and issue resolution and redesigning of employee applications . She has two internships prior to her graduation, with JP Morgan Chase Treasury Services and Sabre Holdings Travel Technology in Bangalore. During the summer of 2015, Smriti interned at Citibank, NY in the Corporate Treasury Investments team working on strategy and performance analysis of net investment hedges.

With her financial engineering degree Smriti is working towards achieving a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and risk management techniques. In June 2013, Smriti passed the CFA Level I exam. Her interests include investment anagement and investment banking. Smriti is an avid reader and she enjoys traveling, basketball and interior designing.
