Rishi Khullar graduated from Cornell University in 2012, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics. As a result of his academic accomplishments and extracurricular involvements, he was also awarded early admission to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Rishi first developed a passion for the complexities of financial systems while working for NeuralCash, a low principal loan company in a post credit crisis market. Faced with information asymmetries and funding constraints, Rishi developed supervised learning models that reduced defaults by half. As an actuarial intern at New York Life, he leveraged these skills in predictive modeling and financial analysis. He formulated growth strategies for annuity products in a low interest rate environment by evaluating sales data and pricing assumptions.
Motivated by these experiences, Rishi returned to Cornell University to pursue a MEng in Financial Engineering in hopes of furthering his technical expertise and knowledge of quantitative finance. Upon graduation, he is eager to apply what he has learned to meet the demands of a career in trading, risk management or quantitative research.
