Abhilash Saksena is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Engineering in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering under the department of Operations Research and Information Technology at Cornell University. He also holds a Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Dubai Campus. There, he was instrumental in setting up the Mechanical Engineering Association, of which he became president, and also in starting up multiple research oriented workshops and field trips.

He has worked previously at Petrofac International, a leading oil and gas company, in the Mechanical Engineering Department, and at Ford, in the repair and maintenance department, both in the UAE. He looks forward to join a company that will utilize his potential and fuel his areas of interest.

He has conducted successful research in logistics and new product implementation to improve efficiency. His diverse projects and research experiences also include a project in robotics, design and modelling of Radio Controlled Aircrafts and hands on building of a wind tunnel.

He has certifications in various Project Management, Simulation and CAD software from CADD Centre. His current research interests include optimization, operations research, manufacturing systems, product design, and aerodynamic studies and looks forward to collaborate with faculty, students or professionals with similar areas of interest.
