Peter Robert is a Managing Director at Roc Global and Co-Head of the Clean Energy practice. He joined Roc Global in 2017 and was the founding member of the firms' Clean Energy business. Peter has over 30 years of capital markets and investment banking experience. He has led the origination of several capital raising and M&A financial advisory mandates in Chile and the U.S. in the power, renewables and water infrastructure spaces.
Prior to joining Roc Global, Peter was a Managing Director at BBVA in New York where he led financial sponsor coverage in the energy and infrastructure sectors in the Americas. In that capacity he worked very closely with private equity and infrastructure fund clients on more than 50 transactions, mostly in project finance, in power, renewables, natural gas pipelines, LNG terminals and transport infrastructure representing in aggregate billions of dollars of financing.
Previously, spanning a period of 20 years, he held several leadership positions in capital markets in New York at Banque Indosuez, Bear Stearns, Morgan Stanley, CAL FP (a Lazard affiliate) and Citigroup where he built and managed capital markets and strategic equity derivatives businesses.
Peter serves on the advisory board of Cornell Financial Engineering Manhattan (CFEM) and H2Sur, Inc., a hydrogen engineering startup. He has a Bachelor's degree in Physics and a Master's degree in Operations Research, both from Cornell University.
