This award is presented by AIChE to honor an individual with outstanding contributions in Environmental Chemical Engineering in the early stages of the career.
Fengqi You, Roxanne E. and Michael J. Zak Professor in the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, has won the 2017 Environmental Division Early Career Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). AIChE is the world’s leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, with more than 50,000 members from over 100 countries.
This award is presented by AIChE to honor an individual with outstanding contributions in Environmental Chemical Engineering in the early stages of their career. Prof. You was recognized “for his research and teaching achievements in Environmental Systems Engineering, including environmental life cycle assessment and optimization, as well as environmentally-conscious design and operations of chemical and energy processes.”
Prof. You will receive the award in an award session in November of this year as part of the upcoming AIChE Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, where he will also deliver an award lecture as a prominent award winner.
This is another national award that Fengqi You received from AIChE this year, in addition to the recent AIChE Sustainable Engineering Research Excellence Award.
