Transcript - From Classroom to Wall Street
Our students come to CEFEM to really learn from practitioners and from professionals. And we design our curriculum with the financial industry's demands in mind.
Robert Jarrow is one of the most well-renowned people in the industry of financial engineering. And learning the model that actually has his name on it, is just, I think, a huge advantage to us.
I interact with practitioners on a daily basis. The practitioner cares so much about student progress, and he's willing to help the students learn and advance. I am very inspired by the practitioner's work ethics and his systematic approach to solve complex problems that do not otherwise have any standard solutions.
We learn a lot of technical skills which will be extremely helpful in the professional arena. And those include everything from MATLAB, or programming Python, SQL, C++. From what we've seen, those are absolutely essential to any type of quantitative job in the marketplace.
