Jeffrey Libshutz is currently a Managing Partner of ArmaVir Partners LLC, a private equity firm which makes direct equity investments in small-to-mid-sized operating companies. Prior to ArmaVir, Jeffrey was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the Private Investments Group at Ramius, the global alternative investment management business of Cowen Group, Inc., which he joined in 2005. Prior to joining Ramius, Mr. Libshutz was a Managing Director and co-Founder of LLJ Capital, a specialty finance firm focused on providing capital solutions to media and communications companies, and a co-Founder of Saturn Venture Partners, a venture capital fund formed in partnership with Telecom Italia and Ramius. Prior to Saturn Venture Partners, he was a Vice President at Sandler Capital Management and an investment banker with Lazard Frères and Salomon Brothers. Throughout his career he has served on a number of corporate and non-profit boards of directors.
Jeffrey has a BS in Engineering from Cornell and an MBA from Wharton. Mr. Libshutz is currently a member of the advisory council for the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University.
